1. Nature of Goods Sold
Refine & Bloom Jewellery specialises in pre-owned, vintage, antique, estate, and previously loved jewellery. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all items offered for sale are used goods and are sold in their existing condition.

2. Condition and Wear
Due to age, prior ownership, and normal use, items may display signs of wear, ageing, repair, resizing, thinning, abrasions, scratches, chipped stones, loose settings, replaced components, tarnish, patina, or other imperfections consistent with second-hand jewellery.

These characteristics are part of the nature and history of pre-owned jewellery and should be expected by purchasers.

3. Sold As Is
All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults (if any). Refine & Bloom makes no guarantee that any item is free from defects, damage, wear, weakness, prior repair, or future maintenance needs.

4. No Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Refine & Bloom excludes all warranties, guarantees, representations, and conditions, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

- fitness for purpose
- merchantable quality
- durability
- suitability for everyday wear
- future stone security
- resistance to breakage, bending, snapping, or loss

No lifetime guarantee, repair warranty, or future performance warranty is provided on any pre-owned item.

5. Buyer Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for reviewing all photographs, descriptions, measurements, hallmarks, and condition notes prior to purchase. Buyers should seek independent advice if they require confirmation regarding gemstones, metals, age, origin, or suitability for intended use.

6. Wear and Use After Purchase
Jewellery is delicate by nature. Rings and other wearable items may be affected by impact, pressure, chemicals, water exposure, resizing, everyday wear, or accidental damage after purchase.

Refine & Bloom accepts no liability for stones becoming loose or lost, claws wearing down, bands bending, breakage, discoloration, allergic reaction, or any damage occurring after delivery.

7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Refine & Bloom shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, repair expense, consequential loss, or disappointment arising from:

- the age or prior use of an item
- undiscovered faults or latent weaknesses
- ordinary wear and tear
- future failure of settings, clasps, hinges, bands, chains, or stones
- buyer misuse, accidental damage, or neglect
- third-party jeweller work, resizing, repair, or modification

8. Indemnity
By purchasing from Refine & Bloom, the buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Refine & Bloom, its owner, and representatives from any claim, loss, liability, demand, cost, or expense arising from the buyer’s purchase, possession, wear, gifting, resale, repair, or use of the item, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

9. Returns
Refine and Bloom are happy to accept returns. Please let us know if you would like to return the product and we will arrange a return postage label. We will provide a full refund on receipt of goods in the condition they were sold. Any damage or further signs of wear beyond the condition in which it was sold voids the refund. 

10. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where consumer guarantees apply, liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

11. Acceptance
By purchasing any item from Refine & Bloom, the buyer acknowledges they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions and understand they are purchasing second-hand jewellery with age-related wear and imperfections.
